Store review: The Wardrobe Company
Tuesday, October 4, 2011
On one of my most random days this year I took a stroll in West Hollywood and found a neat thrift store called The Wardrobe Company. Located at 7199 Santa Monica Blvd across the street from Target and best buy. At first glance it simply looked like a modest thrift store with designer clothes until I found out that it was a thrift store with a cause. According to the companies Facebook page they are "dedicated to raising money for a school in Northern Tanzania, Africa." The clothes that are left over after the weekend are donated to Starting Over Organization.
I was very impressed at the selection of clothes I found here. The added bonus is that all the clothes are donated from television and film productions. To me there is nothing better than owning a piece of Hollywood while helping others.
Pros: Clothes are a bargain! Regular clothes are priced at $2 and designer clothes are $5. This is the perfect store for someone who is running an eBay store.
Cons: If you don't like rummaging through product, this store is not the place for you. I was a little overwhelmed at first but the people there were nice and fun to talk to so I didn't mind spending time searching through the product.
The store's operating hours are Saturday and Sunday 9AM - 5PM. To contact email at Thewardrobecompany@gmail.com. The company website is http://webme.com/funystar/Thewardrobecompany/welcome.html
if you are ever in the Los Angeles area, this place is great to stop, shop, and help out a good cause! They get the Fabulous stamp of approval!
