I've done just about everything to my nails except a gel manicure so I was very excited when my friends over at Sally Hansen sent their Salon Insta- Gel Strips Starter Kit. I followed the directions exactly except cleaning my nails before applying the strips and by the end of the night the whole nail strip came off (make sureeeee you clean your nails before). After I tried the strips a second time, they lasted for a week with no chips or lifting. If you are a girl on the go who doesn't like waiting for your nails to dry this is perfect and they come in great colors like Red My Lips, Wine Not, and Shell We Dance.
- 1 mini LED lamp
- 1 gel top coat
- 16 gel polish strips (Red My Lips)
- 2 nail cleanser pads
- Cuticle stick (orange stick)
- Nail file with buffer
1. Clean nails with alcohol wipes. This step is very important if you want your manicure to last.
2. Apply gel polish strips.
3.Apply Gel top coat.
3. Place each nail under LED light for 30 seconds and clean with nail cleansing pads.
I also tried the Gel nail polish and this is the outcome! Lasted for days!
Simple and easy!

Now that we have are going into February and the weather is starting to transition it's hard to find approporiate denim to keep warm in and still be fashionable. I found the brand Blank NYC and I instantly fell in love with the great pieces of edgy denim. My favorite part is that they have vegan leather pants so you can stay on trend without the guilty conscious. Here are a few of my favorite picks from the brand!
Vegan Leather Legging (Plum), The Spray on Waldorf Wall (Printed Denim), Vegan leather Moto Skinny (Red)

Like most of America I spent my Monday watching President Obama officially become the president for his second term. I sat waiting to hear what he would say about his plans for this term but mostly I was waiting to see what Michelle chose to wear ( priorities, right?) So in honor of my favorite first lady, I've gathered my top three favorite Michelle Obama looks below:
The First lady wearing Jason Wu at the 2013 inaugural ball.
The First lady wearing Jason Wu at the 2008 inaugural ball.
Wearing an amazing electric blue strapless dress by Verag Wang at the 34th Kennedy Center Honors.
What are your favorite looks from Michelle Obama?
